Ahem. I deeply apologize for my lack of composure, I had previously been working on a way to simultaneously extend and empower a tasha's hideous laughter spell.

As for our leadership. I stand by my statement that we should be more of a loose association of mages, all working for the common knowledge of the group, but under no strong leadership.

That would be chaos in my opinion. Our guild was built on rules. Without enforcing them then we have no clear direction.

Even the youngling Rui is better than none at all.

One does not need a strong leader in order to achieve a code of honor, respect and mutualism between guildmates.

†(Not the anarchist economic theory but instead the idea that guildmates should work together to achieve common goals)

Some of the elements within the guild are chaotic and thus require a strong hand sometimes. Without a head the body will dither. Something built on strict laws sometimes needs an arbiter to interpret and enforce these.

If no leader as appointed then someone within the guild will stand out whome others look to and a leader would be chosen none the less.

/old fart wisdom mode off.
